A Swedish university offers Indian students to take part in an international scholarship programme Study Scholarships (SISS). This scholarship is given to Indian Master’s students.
Not only citizens of India can be participants of this scholarship programme, but also representatives from other countries. It is easier to specify who doesn’t have a right to apply for this scholarship – citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaidjan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Turkey.
It should be mentioned that a person can’t apply if he/she has already taken a course of study in Sweden, has a document about education from a university of this country or has already been a scholarship participant from SISS. Citizens of Sweden can also be candidates for getting a scholarship.
Sweden offers 648 Master’s programmes, 180 scholarships for studying in Swedish universities. The amount of scholarship – 9 000 Swedish kronas a month and one-time grant for travelling – 15,000 kronas. This is enough for an Indian student to pay for education, insurance and accommodation abroad.
The course of study begins in August 2018.
Requirements for candidates
Applicants have to be citizens from a country allowed to participate in a scholarship programme and have at least 3000 hours of work experience. When applying, it is required to confirm reliability of information about candidate’s work experience. If this requirement is not fulfilled, the committee will automatically exclude this applicant from the list of candidates.
Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS) propagates gender equality, that’s why candidates are not restricted in terms of their race, age or religion.
